The NEST in West Central MN
The NEST is a child-led playscape exploring an elusive, migrating Creature as it inhabits public spaces.
When you find yourself in the NEST, you're invited to play, make, and imagine an identity for the Creature.
Join us at select Viking Library System libraries as we make art and welcome a migrating creature who’s making their home in West Central Minnesota
Workshops include go-at-your-own-pace stations where you can invent mixed media maps, imagine the Creature’s identity through cardboard exquisite corpse panels, and a collaborative panel mural using ink and color!
Pop-up NESTs invite play and exploration of all kinds while you explore the story of an elusive, migrating Creature who’s come to visit. Work together to build a temporary home from found materials, explore collections of unique objects, and make art or messages to hang on the structure.
